The DIYEHR (sounds like dire) project is for being resourceful with health care data. Creating an electronic health record for yourself is an example. Another example is doing research on data generated by social media. The acronym stands for Do It Yourself Electronic Health Record.
Perhaps someday patients can play a larger roll in both researcher and collaborations such as clinical trials. For after all is there a person who desires responsible and objective research results more than patients?
It would be great to have some community feedback with respect to research ideas, visualization ideas, organization, and open source tools which could facilitate sharing information.
